Program Description:
This program consists of learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in an age-appropriate way. Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a grappling and takedown-focused art, great for self-defense, sport, or exercise. The program involves basic motor skill development drills, technique drills, and live grappling. Students in this class will learn detailed yet easy-to-understand grappling techniques, and the course is designed to inspire lifelong participation in the art.
Students participating in this program will be eligible for stripe grading after completion of their second 10-week session.
Required Equipment:
- Uniform
- White belt
- Mouthpiece
Estimated equipment cost: approximately $60
Equipment may be purchased through the school or another vendor.
